Children don’t have to be able to read to have an eye test.

Barna Opticians offers child-friendly tests that will tell us, and you, everything we need to know about your child’s eye health. We’ll ask you about family history and check your child’s sight against expected levels of development for their age. We’ll assess their vision and see if it needs correcting, before discussing the results clearly with you.

Children seen through the HSE clinics may qualify for a HSE voucher which may cover all or part of the cost of their glasses. We have a great selection of kids glasses ranging from coloured plastics to funky metals and will undoubtedly find a frame to satisfy the fussiest of younger customers!
